Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry(Permanent Commission) Applications Started
2017-06-05Indian Navy invites applications from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a 4 Years degree course under the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme.

Start date of applications : 5 June 2017
Last date to apply : 25 June 2017
Selection procedure : Selection will be based on SSB interviews of candidates shortlisted for the same on the basis of JEE-Mains-2017 All India Rank.
SSB interviews : SSB interviews will be conducted in two stages.
Stage 1 : Consists of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception Test and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify Stage 1 will be routed back on the same day.
Stage 2 : Comprises of Psychological test, Group test and Interview which will last for 4 days.. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo medical examination (3 to 5 days).
Training
a) Training is scheduled to commence in Jan 2018
b) As per Naval requirements, selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for 4 year B.Tech course in one of the following :
(i) Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch)
(ii) Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architecture specialization)
(iii) Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch)
On completion of the course, B.Tech degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Fully funded training : The entire cost of training including books, and reading material will be borne by the Indian Navy. The Cadets will also bep rovided with free clothing and mess facility.
Eligibility
a) Age : Born between 2 July 1998 and 01 Jan 2001 (both dates included)
b) Educational qualification : Passes Sr Sec (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any board with atleast 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and atleast 50% marks in English (in either Class X or Class XII)
c) Appeared in JEE-Mains-2017
