(a) B.Tech in Agriculture Engg, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Biotechnology
(b) BSc (Hons) in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, Sericulture
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an apex body for coordinating, guiding and managing research and education in agriculture in the entire country under the aegis of DARE, Ministry of Agriculture, has been able to foster a countrywide arrangement with the AUs to set aside 15% of their seats for Bachelor degree programmes to be admitted through ICAR’s All India Entrance Examination so as to reduce academic inbreeding, increase mobility among students, encourage national integration and infuse merit and uniform examination standards leading to improved overall quality of agricultural education. Accordingly, ICAR conducts All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) to Bachelor degree programmes in agriculture and allied subjects, other than veterinary sciences, at Agricultural myUniversities on 15% of the University seats (except RLB CAU Jhansi, NDRI Karnal and Dr.RP CAU Pusa, Bihar where100% seats will be filled up) every year. National Talent Scholarship (NTS) of Rs.2000/month are awarded based on the AIEEA-UG examination to all those candidates who take admission outside their state of domicile. Further, not more than 40% candidates from any one state are admitted in any agricultural university/subject. There is no direct nomination for admission through ICAR in any Bachelor degree programme without qualifying in this examination.
Today, the country has a large ICAR-AU system with a total of 75 Agricultural Universities (AUs) comprising of 64 State Agricultural, Veterinary, Horticulture, and Fisheries Universities, 3 Central Agricultural Universities ( CAU, Imphal; DR.RPCAU Pusa and RLBCAU, Jhansi), 5 DUs and 4 Central Universities having agricultural faculty (BHU, AMU, Viswa Bharati and Nagaland University) awarding various kinds of degrees in different disciplines of agricultural, veterinary and allied sciences. At present there are 51 (Tentative) Accredited Agricultural Universities (AUs) under ICAR-AU system under which admissions would be granted in accredited programmes.

ICAR National Talent Scholarship : National Talent Scholarship would be available through the Agricultural University concerned, to every student admitted on ICAR seat at any Agricultural University in a state outside his/her domicile state, at the rate of Rs.2,000/- per month during the period of study
a) 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 5% for PC (horizontally across the categories)
b) Reservation for candidates belonging to OBC category will be given only at NDRI, Karnal; Nagaland University SASARD, Medziphema; BHU; CAUs; ViswaBharati (PSB) as per Government of India directives applicable at the time of counseling and Hon'ble SC order and as per seat positions communicated by the University concerned
c) For remote and Under Privileged States : 2% seats under each subjects would be reserved, horizontally across categories for the candidates of the remote and Under Privileged States/ UTs namely (i) Andaman & Nicobar Islands, (ii) Arunachal Pradesh, (iii) Dadra and Nagar Haveli, (iv) Daman & Diu, (v) Goa, (vi) Lakshadweep, (vii) Manipur, (viii) Meghalaya, (ix) Mizoram, (x) Nagaland, (xi) Sikkim and (xii) Tripura where educational facilities in agriculture and allied science subjects either do not exist or have no SAU(s) and who qualify this examination. UPS candidates will have to produce domicile certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of admission. There will not be any State quota within this quota.
Counselling fee : For online counseling, candidates will be charged one-time registration fee of Rs. 2,000/- by the ICAR which will be non-refundable.
Note : It would be mandatory to give Aadhaar number or 28 digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID or passport number or ration card number or driving license number or any other valid Govt. identity card number while filling the online application form.
