CUCET 2018 (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is being conducted jointly by the ten Central Universities and the Bengaluru Dr. B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960. The ten Central Universities are

The coordination is being done by the Central University of Rajasthan.

CUCET is conducted for the students of 10+2, Bachelor Degree holders and Master Degree holders to obtain admission into the UG / Integrated Program / B.Voc., Post Graduate Program and the Research Program respectively in these Universities.

(i) B.Tech

Offered at CU Haryana

Streams offered are Computer Science & Engg, Electrical, Civil, Printing & Packaging Tech

60 seats in each stream

(ii) Integrated M.Tech

Offered at CU Karnataka. Stand alone BTech and MTech programs are likely to be started from 2018-19. Candidates are informed to check the University website for details.

Number of seats and Streams offered for 2018 not yet specified. Last year, streams offered were Power & Energy Engg, Information & Communication Tech with 20 seats in each stream

CUCET / JEE Seats in Integrated M.Tech programs : 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of performance in JEE– Main Exam (2018) who is eligible for writing JEE–Advanced 2018, the national level test conducted by the IITs for admission to all their UG programmes. 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of performance in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2018). Supernumerary seats (8%) will be filled on the basis of performance in the Karnataka State Common Entrance Test (KCET-2018) as per Article 371J.

Note : A candidate can apply for a particular programme for a maximum of three PUs with a maximum of 03 options of programmes in each of the selected PU. In case a candidate wishes to opt for more PUs with additional (extra) programme(s), he/she can opt for “Add-On” option by paying additional prescribed fee again.

Admission / Counseling : Admissions are handled at the level of each of these Central Universities and BASE, for their respective programs. After the declaration of the CUCET results, the respective Central Universities and BASE will declare the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on the weightage on CUCET-2018 score and the other criteria of PUs. Please see the website of the concerned University and BASE for details. There will be online admission counselling for some Universities with additional fees.
