Admissions Process For IIIT-H via Entrance UGEE Announced
2018-02-12The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), a Deemed University founded in 1998, has announced admissions to its 5 Year integrated programs via its Entrance test UGEE. IIIT-H has emerged as a stellar higher education institution which has eminent personalities from industry, academia and government in its Governing Council. Over the past few years the placements have been better than some of the IITS.
Following dual degree programs are offered
a) B.Tech & M.S in Computer Science & Engineering by Research (CSD)
b) B.Tech & M.S in Electronics and Communication Engineering by Research (ECD)
c) B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computational Linguistics by Research (CLD)
d) B.Tech in Computer Science & M.S. in Computational Natural Sciences by Research (CND)
Until last year, UGEE-IIITH entrance test was conducted only for CLD program. This year onwards, the test is additionally mandatory for its CSD, ECD and CND programs.
Also, until last year non-science candidates but with maths also could apply. That eligibility has now been removed. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 60% is now the mandatory eligibility to appear for UGEE.
Candidates may check details at UGEE-IIITH and the last date to apply is 15th March.
Note: Admissions to 4 year B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering [CSE] and B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering [ECE] would be via JEE (Main) score. application window for these two programs open in the first week of April.
