University : Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, was established in 1956. CIT is a Govt aided Autonomous Institute, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, India. CIT offers 9 Under Graduate Academic Programmes and 12 Post Graduate Academic Programmes in addition to M.S. and Ph.D. Research Programmes.

a) M.Sc in Software Systems and M.Sc in Data Science : A Pass in HSC/equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the subjects of study. However Candidates (other than SC/ST) with an aggregate of 80% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry only need to apply
b) M.Sc Decision and Computing Science (for COMMERCE & Science stream students): A Pass in HSC or Equivalent exam with one subject from each of the following categories A and B as two of the four subjects of study. However candidates (other than SC/ ST) with an aggregate of 80% and above in two subjects, one from each of the two categories of subjects only need to apply.

Category B - Physics / Commerce / Economics / Accountacy / Computer Science
Selection Procedure : (a) Common Entrance Test conducted by CIT (b) 2. Interview at CIT for shortlisted candidates (c) HSC / Class 12 Board Marks
Test Pattern : The test consists of two sections
Main (Marks: 40*1=40 marks)

- Mathematics / Business mathematics / Statistics
Advanced (Marks: 10*1.5=60 Marks)
- Logical reasoning and Aptitude
- Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics
Fee : For any of the 3 programs:
Tuition : Rs. 60,000/- per semester
