2500 scholarships for students with disabilities
2017-08-29National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India) invites applications for grant of 2500 scholarships to eligible students for Degree and Post Graduate level, Professional & Technical Courses from recognised institutions in India. You can apply any time for these scholarships but an advance copy of the application should also be submitted online.
a) 30% scholarships will be reserved for girls, transferable to male students in case of non-availability of female candidates.
b) Scholarship will be awarded on quarterly basis.
c) Reimbursement of non-refundable fee restricted to the limit of fee of similar courses in Govt / Govt-aided institutions. Maintenance allowance will be paid for 10 months @Rs.2,500/- per month for professional graduate courses and @Rs.3,000/- per month for professional post graduate courses.
d) Books / Stationery allowance @Rs.6,000/- for gradudate courses and @Rs.10,000/- per annum for post graduate courses.
e) The yearly income of the beneficiary /parent or guardian should not be more than Rs.3 lakhs from all sources.
f) A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship for pursuing the course.
How to apply : Apply online on NHFDC website (nhfdc.nic.in). Submit printed copy of online application duly recommended by the Head of Institution where studying to
