JEE-Advanced to be completely Online in 2018
2017-08-20IIT JEE-Advanced will be held completely online from 2018 according to the decision taken by the IIT Joint Admission Board. Until 2017, candidates had the option of taking the JEE-Advanced either in pen & paper mode or computer based. The computer based option was limited to only a few centres. Most students until now preferred to take the pen & paper mode. in 2017, nearlt 2.2 lakh students were eligible to take the JEE-Advanced. This number is likely to go up in 2018.
As per the IIT Joint Admission Board, the decision for computer based test was taken to reduce correction time and to improve fairness by eliminating scanning errors while scanning pen & paper OMR sheets. IIT Kanpur would be conducting the JEE-Advanced Test in 2018.
