Applications started for IIIT Chhattisgarh (Separate State Counselling)

Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh (IIIT-NR is an Autonomous University established by the Government of Chhattisgarh with support from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). IIIT-NR invites applications for admission to its following undergraduate programs :

1. B. Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) – 60 seats

2. B. Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) – 60 seats

Admission procedure

a) Seats under All India Quota will be filled through JoSAA 2017 counselling process that starts from 15th June 2017. Please apply through http://josaa.nic.in

b) Seats under Chhattisgarh State Quota and NTPC Quota will be filled through institute’s own online counselling process. The institute’s admission portal will remain active for registration and choice filling from 16th June 2017 to 8thJuly 2017. Please apply through IIIT-NR Admission Link.

Application Procedure and Counseling Fee for B. Tech. Programs (under CG State & NTPC Quota)

Candidates desirous of seeking admission in IIIT-NR under CG State or NTPC quota must apply online on the Institute website https://iiitnr.ac.in/content/btech-admission. Offline applications or applications via email will not be considered.

Counseling Process

Candidates applying for admissions shall be required to remit a non-refundable counseling fee of Rs. 300/- online. Based on the online applications received, merit lists, based on JEE (Main) 2017 rank, will be published for each category. Please refer admission process flow chart (Section C). The entire process will be conducted online strictly as per the announced schedule in process flow diagram. Any changes in the deadlines or alterations in the process will be duly communicated on our website. Any physical solicitation concerning the Admission Process will not be entertained.

Admission categories and eligibility

a) All India Quota (35% seats amounting to 42 seats: 21 in CSE and 21 in ECE) : Candidates who completed their school education from any part of India belong to this category. Their eligibility will be as per the rules of JoSAA 2017. Admissions will be based on JEE (Main) 2017 rank.

b) Chhattisgarh State Quota (50% Seats amounting to 60 seats: 30 in CSE and 30 in ECE) : Candidates who passed both 10th and 12th standard examinations from schools situated in the State of Chhattisgarh belong to this category. The candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in their 12th standard examination. Admissions will be based on JEE (Main) 2017 rank.

c) NTPC Quota (15% Seats amounting to 18 seats: 9 in CSE and 9 in ECE): Candidates employed with NTPC or their wards belong to this category. The candidates must have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics and Mathematics (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in their 12th standard examination. Admissions will be based on JEE (Main) 2017 rank.

Additionally, 1 (one) supernumerary seat each is available for Kashmiri Migrants in both CSE and ECE programs.
