With 2 Key Changes NTA Starts NCHM JEE 2023 Applications
2023-02-04National Testing Agency (NTA) has started registrations for national level Joint Entrance Exam 2023 which NTA shall be conducting on behalf of National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (NCHM-JEE) for admission in BSc in Hospitality & Hotel Administration. And it has announced 2 key changes.
Key changes introduced: This year, the following two key changes have been announced.
(a) 4 year curriculum: As per NEP 2020, there will be a 4th year option for the students to get an Honours Degree.
(b) IGNOU component removed, Course recognition by JNU: The course is now offered by National Council for Hotel Management at its affiliated institutes and is recognised by JNU.
Earlier, it was offered jointly by NCHMCT and IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University). The degree used to be awarded by IGNOU. And In order to become eligible for award of the degree B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration by IGNOU, students had to complete the NCHMCT component as full time candidates in the affiliated Institutes of Hotel Management as well as clear the credit papers offered by IGNOU during the course of study.

75 participating institutes with 11,965 seats including Central Government Institutes of Hotel Management, PSU Institute of Hotel Management, State Government Institutes of Hotel Management and Private Institutes of Hotel Management
