CUSAT Starts CAT 2023 Applications
2023-01-28Cochin University of Science & Technology (CUSAT) (erstwhile University of Cochin), a State University, has started accepting applications for its all India Common Admission Test for 2023 for admission in its Undergraduate and integrated UG-PG programs.

Entrance exams clashing with CUSAT-CAT / CUSAT-CAT-Law: Please note that CUSAT-CAT (29 Apt to 1 May) has test date clash / overlap with V-SAT (1 Mar to 30 Apr), ICAR-AIEEA-UG (26 Apr to 29 Apr) and WBJEE (30 Apr).
Exemption from Admission test: For Integrated MSc Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science), KVPY Scholarship winners need not appear for the entrance Test. However, they have to submit the requisite application and should pay the application fee. All other eligible applicants have to appear for a written test.
About the university: The erstwhile University of Cochin established in 1971 was later reorganized as Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in February 1986, redefining its objectives as the promotion of graduate and post graduate studies and advanced research in applied science, technology, industry, commerce, management and social sciences.
The University has three campuses. BTech & INteg MSc are offered at Campus 1 & 2. The Law programmes are offered at the third campus (Lakeside campus).
(1) Main Campus situated at Thrikkakara, Kalamassery, Kochi-22 (Referred to as Campus 1)
(2) Kuttanadu Campus (CUCEK) situated at Pulincunnoo, Alappuzha District (80 KM away from Campus 1) (Referred to as Campus 2)
(3) The third campus is at Lakeside Campus situated on the banks of Cochin Estuary and adjacent to Fine Arts Hall, Kochi - 16 (12 KM away from Campus 1) (Referred to as Lakeside Campus)
NIRF Rank : The university is ranked 41 in “University” category and 69 in “Overall” category as per NIRF 2022, GoI
NAAC accreditation : CUSAT has NAAC “A+” grade accreditation.
