JoSAA 2021 Applications Started For IITs, NITs, IITS, GFTIs
2021-10-17Joint Seat Allocation Authority has started registrations for seat allocations in IITs, NITs, IITS, GFTIs. It is mandatory for the candidates to register through the official JoSAA 2021 online portal to be able to obtain seats to be allocated through JoSAA 2021 in any of the IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts) and Other-GFTIs.
Participating institutes: 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes
Qualifying examinations
IITS: JEE Advanced 2021
NITs, IITs, IIEST and Other GFTIs: JEE Mains Paper 1 for BTech, Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning
Qualifying in the above mentioned examinations does not guarantee admission in any of the Institute. Each Institute / academic program has additional eligibility requirements. Candidates have to meet all the eligibility requirements to obtain admission.
Who can participate in JoSAA: Each and every candidate who satisfies one or more of the following criteria is eligible for participation in joint seat allocation:
(A) Criterion (i): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2021 for academic programs [excluding the preparatory courses] at IITs.
AND
satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria as given in Annexure 2(a) in the brochure.
(B) Criterion(ii): Qualified in JEE (Advanced)-2021 for preparatory courses at IITs
AND
satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria
(C) Criterion (iii): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2021 B.E./B.Tech. Paper for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs
AND
satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria
(D) Criterion (iv): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2021 B.Arch. Paper for B.Arch. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.
AND
satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria
(E) Criterion (v): Secured a rank in JEE (Main)-2021 B.Planning Paper for B. Planning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and Other-GFTIs.
AND
satisfies the “Performance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination” criteria
