MMMUT reschedules Entrance Test 2020

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT),Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) has postponed Malaviya Entrance Test MET 2020 for admissions in BTech. Additionally, Dehradun as a test centre is no longer available. Students who opted for Dehradun as their first choice have been shifted to those examination cities which they have selected as their second choice.

Branches offered : Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical, Information Technology

Revised dates for MET 2020

Availability of Admit cards : 31 July 2020

Date of MET : 8 Aug 2020 (was earlier scheduled to be held on 25 July 2020)

No. of seats : Total 900 (75 each in Chemical and Information Technology. 150 each in other branches)

Domicile requirement / relaxation : Admission is open only to the candidates who have passed / appearing in the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents (Father or Mother only) are domicile of UP and they have passes/appearing in the qualifying examination from an institution located outside UP.  Domicile relaxation exists for specific categories of defence personnel and employees of All India Services of UP Cadre. Pls see clause 12.5 in the prospectus.

MMMUT MET & JEE (Mains) seats breakup

90% seats of total intake in will be filled on the basis of merit list of MET

Remaining 10% of total intake (and an additional 10% supernumerary seats) will be filled from the following JEE (Mains) qualified candidates :

(i) Admission against 10% seats of total intake from candidates who have appeared the qualifying examination from UP or the candidates whose parents are domicile of UP.

(ii) Admission against 10% supernumerary seats of total intake from candidates who have appeared in JEE (Mains) Examination from any Indian state other than Uttar Pradesh.

About MMMUT : Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, which was established in 1962, was reconstituted by the Govt of Uttar Pradesh in 2013 and converted into Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. The University presently offers seven B.Tech programs along with MBA, MCA, M.Tech in 12 disciplines and full time PhD programs in all disciplines.
