GGSIPU Starts BSc-Hons-Nursing 2020 Entrance Test Applications

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, has started registrations for its Common Entrance Test 2020 for admission in 4 Year BSc (Hons) Nursing course.

GGSIPU is the first University established in 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi. It is a teaching and affiliating University with the with the explicit objective of facilitating and promoting studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on professional education, for example engineering, technology, management studies, medicine, pharmacy, NURSING, education, law, etc. It is the largest university in Delhi NCR with more than 90,000 students in 127 affiliated institutions which offer a total of 175 programs (including Ph.D. and M. Phil.)

Selection criteria : As per merit obtained in the Common Entrance Test (CET Code 115) which shall be conducted in online mode

Colleges & Intake : Intake for 2020 will be announced before counselling. Last year’s list is provided below for reference :

a) 60 seats in Lakshmi Bai Batra College Of Nursing, Plot No.45,46, and 47, Tuglakabad, Institutional Area, Mehrauli Badarpur Road, New Delhi

b) 50 seats in St. Stephen's College Of Nursing, Tis Hazari, Delhi, (Minority Institute)

c) 50 seats in College of Nursing, VMMC & Safdarjang Hospital, New Delhi

d) 20 seats in School of Nursing Hindu Rao Hospital, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Hindu Rao Hospital, Near Malka Ganj, Delhi

e) 20 seats in College of Nursing Kasturba Hospital, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, College of Nursing, Kasturba Hospital, Daryaganj, New Delhi

f) 50 seats in College of Nursing, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi

Eligibility

(a) Gender : Candidate must be an unmarried female

(b) Qualifying exam : Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidate must also have passed English (core or elective or functional) in qualifying examination. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel / Persons With Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement or as specified by the statutory body governing the programme of study, irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not.

(c) Age : Maximum 21 years as on 1 Aug 2020. The upper age limit may be relaxed upto a maximum of five years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer (designated) of the concerned programme
