2019-11-24

The Consortium of National Law Universities which conducts the Common Law Admission Test CLAT has announced that the CLAT 2020 exam shall be held on 10th May, 2020.  CLAT is used for admissions to 5 Year B.A. LL.B programs offered at 21 National Law Universities and 52 Private Universites across the country.

It is important to note that CLAT 2020 will see a shift in the test pattern and is expected to bring-in at least 5 key changes in test pattern, i.e., the manner in which the students are assessed.  The driving purpose of the proposed changes are to discourage memory based assessment and instead the test is likely to focus on inferential reasoning, understanding of current affairs, interpretting mathematical data & tables,  and application of english in real-world scenarios.

CLAT 2020 shall be in offline mode and will be conducted across multiple cities across India.
Start of Applications and release of detailed prospectus:  1st January, 2020
