2019-11-03Applications for Design Aptitude Test to be conducted by the National Institute of Design will close on 7 Nov 2019.
There are 2 core programmes ofered by the National Institute of Design (NID) : 4 year Bachelor of Design programs and 4 year Graduate Diploma Program in Design. The admissions are via a two stage entrance test formats: DAT-Prelims & DAT-Mains.
About NID: National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad and at its Bengaluru & Gandhinagar campuses is an Institute of National Importance under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Ahmedabad offers 4 Years B.Design Program (B.Des).
In addition there are 4 other NIDs - NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Assam and NID Madhya Pradesh are independent autonomous institutes under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and offers four-year long Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD).
NID Ahmadabad offers 125 seats in its B.Design UG program while each of the other 4 NIDs have an intake of 75 seats each.
The DAT-Prelims will be conducted across multiple cities on 29th Dec, 2019.
Shortlisted students will be invited to take DAT-Mains starting 29th April, 2020.
