IISER 2020 Schedule Announced - Clashes with AIIMS 2020 MBBS Exam
2019-10-31Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have announced the admission schedule for 2020 season. There are 7 IISERs across india which have been setup by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to promote high quality reserach and scientific education. The ISSERs are located at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati.
Programs offered at IISERs:
(1) 5-Year BS-MS Integrated Dual Degree Program and
(2) 4-Year BS in Economics and Engineering Sciences (only in Bhopal campus)
The total intake across the campuses last year was around 1300.
Mode of selcetion:
(1) KVPY channel: Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2020-21 academic session - exempt from taking IISER Aptitude Test
(2) JEE Advanced channel: Candidates securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2020 are eligible to apply - exempt from taking IISER Aptitude Test
(3) SCB channel:Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream in 2019 or 2020 with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards i.e. State and Central Boards - Need to take IISER Aptitude Test
