UCEED-2020 Announced. Major Change in Pattern

IIT-Bombay has announced the details of the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) for 2020.  UCEED-2020 is used for Admissions to the premier Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes offered at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur. 

UCEED-2020 has a major change in pattern. While UCEED 2019 had only one section consisting of computer based questions, UCEED-2020 examination will have two parts: Part A and Part B. Both the parts are mandatory. Part A will contains three sections-NAT, MSQ and MCQ. Part B contains a drawing question which will be on a booklet provided at the time of examination. The overall time duration of the examination is 3 hours. Both the parts have to be finished within this time.

UCEED-2020 application will commence from 9th October, 2019 and registrations will close on 9th Nov, 2019. Application fee for female candidates (all categories) shall be INR 1500, INR 1500 for SC, ST, PwD candidates and INR 3000 for all other candidates. Candidates who missed applying by this date will be given another week, i.e. until 16th Nov, 2019 to fill the applications, but with a fine of Rs. 500.

Important:
i) Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects are eligible to apply to all the four institutes.
ii) Candidates from any other stream (Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to only IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur.
