About the course(s)
The BA (Social Work) programme provides foundational understanding in five key Social Sciences subjects – Sociology, Economics, Political Science, History and Psychology during the first two years and then introduces the students to interdisciplinary subjects like Environment, Development and Gender in the third year.
The (H) Social Work with Specialisation in Rural Development course attempts to build skills in facilitating change and transformation in rural areas at the level of individuals, groups and communities. It also endeavours to strengthen the capacities of the students to develop appropriate skills and talents to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate rural development programmes independently and in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
