Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam For Design (UCEED) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, under the guidance of the UCEED-CEED Implementation Committee. UCEED is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign).

Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor Degree programme in Design (B. Des.) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG), Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (IIITDMJ) must appear in UCEED.

Note that UCEED qualified candidates will have to apply separately for B.Des admissions as per the prescribed procedure.

PwD reservations @ 5% will be horizontal

Other institutes considering UCEED score for admission: The following institutes could allot some seats in their B.Des programme for admission through UCEED. These institutes will, however, be NOT part of the Joint Admissions Exercise conducted by IIT Bombay. Candidates need to apply directly to the institute.

1. Foreign nationals (including OCI/PIO card holders) are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories.
2. Seats allotted to foreign nationals including OCI (Overseas Citizen of India)/PIO (People of Indian Origin) card-holders are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total seats in a program.

3. Foreign nationals holding OCI/PIO cards issued ON or BEFORE 4th March 2021 will be considered for the seats in the OPEN category (see RESERVATION POLICY in the brochure for details).

4. Foreign Nationals holding OCI/PIO cards issued AFTER 4th March 2021 will be considered only for foreign supernumerary seats with a cap of 10% of the total available seats in each program.
