TSEAMCET (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU, Kakinada, AP) on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). This Examination is for admission into various undergrad professional courses offered in Universities and Private unaided and affiliated Professional colleges in the State of Telangana.
Nationality / Domicile
Candidates should be of Indian Nationality or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.
Candidates should belong to the state of Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. The candidates should satisfy Local / Non Local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
Criteria for ranking : As per G.O. Ms. No. 73 of Higher Education (EC.2) Department, dtd. 28-07-2011, the candidates who have secured qualifying marks in the TS EAMCET 2023 and candidate belonging to the category of SC / ST, for whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed. The TS EAMCET-2023 ranks will be purely allotted purely based on the performance (normalized marks) in the TS EAMCET-2023 examination and the 25% weightage for intermediate marks in the TS EAMCET-2023 examination ranks has been waived off as a special case for the TS EAMCET-2023 similar to the TS EAMCET-2021 & 2022.
For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one student securing the same combined score obtained as mentioned above, the tie shall be resolved to decide the relative ranking by successively considering the following
i) The total Normalized marks secured in TS EAMCET-2023
ii) The normalized Marks secured in Mathematics in TS EAMCET-2023
iii) The normalized marks secured in Physics in TS EAMCET-2023
iv) If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates, the older being given preference over the younger.
The weightage of marks in the case of candidates belonging to the category of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders will be decided by a committee constituted by the competent authority.
Counselling & Seat Allotment : The list of institutions for allotment of candidates with intake in each discipline and category, as per reservations through TS EAMCET would be released in the Information Booklet for Counseling in due course by the State Council of Higher Education and the same information would also be released on its Website.
Note
- B.Tech (Food Technology) falls in AM (Agri & Medicine) category. Irrespective of the subjects taken at the qualifying examination, candidates seeking admission to this course should appear for Biology, Physics and Chemistry in TS EAMCET (AM Category).
- For BArch : Candidates interested in applying for Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) course in Telangana / Andhra Pradesh are advised to take “National Aptitude Test in Architecture” (NATA) an online exam conducted by Council of Architecture, New Delhi. A separate notification will be issued for counseling for students seeking admission in Bachelor of Architecture course.
