Program Offered: 4-Year Bachelor of Arts (Research) in English
Shiv Nadar University (SNU) is a multi-disciplinary, student-centric, research-focused Private university situated near New Delhi at Gautam Budh Nagar offering a full range of academic programs at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level. The University is a fully residential campus.
The School of Humanities & Social Sciences (SoHSS) at SNU offers the following disciplines of study including B.A. (Research) in English:
- B.A. (Research) in English: 20 seats
- B.A. (Research) in History: 15 seats
- B.A. (Research) in International Relations: 20 seats
- B.A. (Research) in Sociology: 15 seats
- B.Sc. (Research) in Economics: 30 seats
The admission process followed by SNU is via the following pathways:
Route 1: SNUSAT + APT + Interview
Route 2: SAT + Interview
Fees:
Tuition Fee: Per year: ₹ 1,00,000/- (Total for 4 years ₹ 4,00,000)
Refundable Deposit: ₹ 25,000/-
Admission Fee: ₹ 25,000/- (one time)
Living expenses for 4 years (Hostel, Mess, Laundry): ₹ 5,51,000/-
Scholarships:
1. Gifted Student Scholarship: Offered direct admission based on an interaction with faculty member from the admitting department. Applicable for
- Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge Board of Education
- IB grade points 42 & above
- Top 100 rank holders in class 12th from other State Education Board
- INSPIRE fellows awarded Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE)
- JEE (Advanced) top 500 ranks
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Fellowship holders
Admission Fees, Security Deposit and Tuition Fees shall be borne by the University.
2. Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
The University extends its support to help students who are economically challenged. Based on their performance in 12th Board, means – eligibility & fulfilment of program wise selection criteria, will be eligible for scholarship upto 100% .
2A. Eligibility - Merit: Students scoring 92% and above in Class XII board marks are eligible to apply
2B. B. Eligibility - Means: Family Income below 8 Lac per annum.
Admission Fees, Security Deposit and Tuition Fees shall be borne by the University
3. Rural Scholarship:
Family Income below Rs 3 Lac per annum & the students from following schools:
Vidyagyan, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, Municipal Schools, Schools in Schedule V regions, Super 30, Art of Living Schools, Udayachal School, Satya Bharti School, Kallam Anji Reddy Vidyalaya, Sarswati Vidya Mandir, The Suryodaya School, Isha Vidhya, Vidya School, Vidya Vanam School, Door Step School, Free School India, Sri Sathya Sai VidyaKendra, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith
Level of Scholarship in Merit cum means & Sports will be determined by the Scholarship committee.
4. Sports Scholarship:
Students with ranking in their sport from 1 to 100 ranks are eligible to apply. Due weightage shall be given to the Certificates of Winners/Participation at International, National, State level tournaments in respective sports/games recognized by National / International sports bodies of respective sports/games. List of Sports offered for Scholarship are mentioned below:-
Chess, Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Table Tennis
Level of Scholarship in Merit cum means & Sports will be determined by the Scholarship committee.
