Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) is a Deemed to be University situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. SOA was granted greater autonomy (graded autonomy) by the UGC in 2018. SOA was reaccredited by NAAC with an 'A' grade (highest grade under the old system) in 2015 for a period of 5 years.
NIRF Rank : SOA is ranked 24 in “University” category as per NIRF 2018 rankings by Min of HRD,GoI (ranked 20 In 2017, rank 16 in 2016)
Reservation : 15% and 7.5% seats reserved respectively for candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe by birth (not by marriage or adoption). 3% reserved for physically handicapped. 30% in all categories reserved for girl candidates.
Note : Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe persons who have migrated from their state of origin to another state for the purpose of seeking education, employment etc., will be deemed to be Scheduled Caste / Tribe of state of their origin and will be entitled to derive benefits from the state of origin and not from the state to which they have migrated.
Scholarships
Securing more than 60% marks both in 10th & +2 Exam. – Rs.10,000 per annum (4 years)
The yearly renewal of the scholarship will be subject to following conditions :
i) The academic performance of the student with minimum CGPA of 8.0 in semester assessment
without any backlog.
ii) Attendance : 80% in each semester in each subject.
iii) Character and conduct certified by the Head of the Institution.
iv) There should not be any adverse remarks against the candidates

(a) Academic - Rs.75,000/- per annum (for BHMCT)
(b) Counselling Fees (One time & non-refundable) Rs. 1,000/-
(c) Admission Fees (One time & non-refundable) Rs. 5,000/-
(d) Institute Caution Money (One time & refundable) Rs. 5,000/-

- A/C 2 occupancy : Rs.1,20,000 per annum
- A/C 3 occupancy : Rs.90,000 per annum

Final admission : Candidates must be qualified in SAAT-2019 or any equivalent state/national level entrance test. The institution will fill up 15% of seats in professional programmes in view of the instruction issued by the UGC (Admission to specified professional programmes 1st Amendment interim regulation, 2003). Rest of the seats will be filled up through counselling (SAAT– 2019).
