Course offered : 4 Yr BSc Nursing
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) was established under the Act of State Government in 2005. The University aims to disseminate and advance knowledge in medical and health sciences. The University provides academic and research facilities in various streams to the students studying in various Government Colleges (Medical, Dental, Nursing, Pharmacy & Paramedical) and private colleges/institutions affiliated to it. The University endeavours the process of making itself a leader in world class medical education by focusing on the systemic instructions, teaching, training and research activities.
Colleges & Intake
In the Government College of Nursing, Jaipur and Government Self Finance Scheme Nursing Colleges 100% seats (of the intake sanctioned) and in Private Nursing Colleges only 50% seats (of the intake sanctioned) shall be filled through RUHS Session 2020-21. The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of the total seats in all categories. In case non availability of female candidates, such seats shall be filled by male candidates or vice-versa.
The tentative number of seats in participated colleges in Rajasthan shall be notified at RUHS website. The exact number of seats in each college will be finalized before online counseling/allotment and updated on the website of RUHS.
Reservation
(i) 15% of the total seats will be filled up by the candidates on all India basis inclusive of Rajasthan and 16%, 12%, 21%, 5% and 10% of 15% will be reserved for SC, ST, OBC, MBC & EWS respectively (specific provisions for natural born citizens of Rajasthan, Govt / defence employees etc). The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of the total seats in all categories.
(ii) 85% of the total scats will be filled up by the Bonafide candidates of Rajasthan. The candidates must have studied for the last three years of the qualifying examination continuously as regular candidates recognized institution in Rajasthan.
Counselling
(a) Candidates eligible for admission have to download Option Form, Undertaking Form, Seat Matrix and Guidelines from RUHS website. The option form, undertaking form, seat matrix and instructions may be made available to the candidates after declaration of result of Entrance Test.
(b) The allotment of nursing college will be carried out through the computer software by strictly following the order of merit, seats available and the order of options filled in by the candidate in the Option Form. No admission shall be made after the date notified by Chairman/Convener, Nursing Counseling Board, 2020-21.
(c) In case of tie position between two or more than two candidates, following steps in order be taken to resolve
- One who has passed the 10+2 examination in less number of attempts will be given preference.
- If there is further tie, the relative merit will be decided by the age of the candidates. The candidate of higher age (older candidate) will be placed on higher merit.
- If there is further tie, candidate securing more marks in Secondary examination will be given preference.
- If there is further tie, candidate securing more marks in Senior Secondary examination (10+2) or equivalent will be given preference
(d) Candidates are advised in their own interest to secure information regarding the admission from the authorized website of RUHS. The non-receipt of communication to the candidate from Chairman / Convener, Nursing Counseling Board, 2020-21 will not be accepted as a ground for not submitting the Option Form or non-reporting in the allotted institute on the scheduled time and date. The candidate’s allotment shall be automatically cancelled if he/she does not report IN PERSON the allotted college as per schedule. In such case his/her registration with Chairman/Convener, Nursing Counseling Board 2020-21 will be cancelled.
(e) The affiliated nursing college will be provided the list of selected candidates which are allotted to it along with their contact number for the purpose of getting them joined after duly verifying their credentials.
(f) The allotted institute would check the documents and other required certificates with originals. If the admission is granted, the amount would not be returned/ refunded under any circumstances. The original documents will be returned by the respective college after the university enrolment has been done.
