Program Offered: 4 Year Bachelor of Design in Humanising Technology
Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) in association with Narsee Monjee Educational Trust runs the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), one of India's premier Universities of Higher Studies. NMIMS runs various schools catering to different specializations. NMIMS conducts NPAT for admissions to various undergraduate programs (schools) from its various campuses in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Shirpur, and Indore.
For students interested in Design, the School of Design in the Mumbai campus offers a 4 Year Bachelor of Design program. Interestingly, the program also includes Technology and Business Management as modules in the curriculum.
The Bachelor of Design program ensures holistic development of a student: mind-set, knowledge, and skill. The curriculum of this undergraduate ‘degree’ program integrates Design Fundamentals (Design Technicals) with Multi-Disciplinary Fundamentals (Design Influencers). The Design Technicals comprise the core design modules, whilst the Design Influencers include modules in Psychology, Sociology, Technology, and Management.
