| Summary |
NMAT by GMAC is a computer administered test owned by the Graduate Management Global Connection (India) Private Limited (GMGC), a subsidiary of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The NMAT scores are accepted for admissions by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Deemed University (NMIMS). Following programs offered at NMIMS accept NMAT scores -
(i) MBA (500 seats)
(ii) MBA Human Resource(60 seats)
(iii) MBA Pharmaceutical Management (60 seats)
(iv) PGDM Bengaluru Campus (180 seats)
(v) PGDM Hyderabad Campus (120 seats)
For appearing for NMAT by GMAC, online application (both at NMIMS and NMAT.org.in website) has to be duly submitted & payment of registration charges need to be made.
Regarding application:
Candidates can apply for more than one Programme / Campus of NMIMS as per his / her eligibility by giving preferences. i.e.
1. MBA Full-Time Mumbai (Application fee: Rs. 1100/-)
2. MBA Full-Time Mumbai, & PGDM-Bengaluru and/or PGDM-Hyderabad(Application fee: Rs. 1500/-)
3. PGDM-Bengaluru and/or PGDM-Hyderabad(Application fee: Rs. 1100/-)
The preferences once given cannot be changed later on.
Key aspects of NMAT:
1. 30% Seats in the MBA Programs of NMIMS will be for Girls.
2. 75-day test window (Oct 7, 2016 to Dec 20, 2016)- A long test window provides test takers with the convenience of choosing a test date.
3. Choice for test takers to choose 7 programmes of NMAT accepting Universities for publishing score as part of the registration fees. INR 200 + applicable taxes per additional programmme (in excess of 7) will be charged.
4. Self-scheduling option: Test takers have the choice to select the date and time of the test in a real time mode, based on seats availability at each of the centres.
5. Option to retake the exam: Test takers have an option of appearing more than once (up to three maximum attempts, including *no shows*). This provides test takers with an opportunity to improve their scores.
6. No negative marking: This step encourages test takers to make informed guesses and not drop a question for the fear of deduction in marks.
7. Unique exam for every test taker: Every test taker taking NMAT exam will get a unique but equivalent exam.
8. Equated results: The NMAT score will be published online on website nmat.org.in withing 4-5 weeks after taking the exam.
Fee:
Fees for academic year 2016-2017 for MBA & MBA HR Program were Rs.8,25,000/- , MBA Pharma Mgmt was Rs. 5,00,000 & PGDM Bangalore & Hyderabad were Rs. 700,000 (For information only).
The Fees for academic year 2017-2018 will be informed during CD/PI.

Application Procedure:
- Create an account on nmat.org.in using a valid email address.
- Provide contact information, personal, educational and work experience, the list of programmes to send scores, and the ID that you will use at the test centre. Indicate your interest in participating in a search service and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Your name and date of birth that you enter on the registration form must exactly match the name and date of birth on your primary and secondary ID.
- Choose the schools to send your scores under the "Schools Preference" section. Up to 7 programmes are included in your registration fee. An additional fee of INR 200 + applicable taxes will be applied for each programme added in excess of 7 programs.
- You must upload a photograph that bears likeness to you and the photograph on your primary ID. This photograph will be included on the admit card that you must bring.
- Pay the test fee.
- Once your payment is realized, your schedule exam option will be activated in your dashboard, so that you can go ahead and schedule your exam.
- You will be able to download your admit card from your dashboard once the payment is realized.
