Total Intake at MITID :
B.Des Programme : 200 seats
B.Des Fashion programmes : 60 seats
Social and Vertical Reservation :
- Rules of reservations apply as per the prevalent Government of Maharashtra directives.
- Maximum Social or vertical reservation will be up to 50% only and an additional 10% for EWS.
- Category wise reservations are applicable for Maharashtra state candidates only. EWS reservation is applicable to all.
- 5% seats of the total sanctioned intake of the institute shall be reserved for children of ex-service personnel and active service personnel who are domiciled in Maharashtra and of active service personnel, who are not domiciled in Maharashtra but are transferred to Maharashtra.
Admission Process:
It is done via two phases:
Phase 1: MITID-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) conducted at various centres across the country.
Phase 2: Studio Test and Personal Interview at MITID campus in Pune.
Note:
MIT DAT (MIT Design Aptitude Test) 2021, is conducted jointly for admissions of B.Des & M.Des programs at MIT Institute of Design (MIT ID) Pune, Avantika University Ujjain & MIT University Shillong.
