Sister Nivedita University is a new Private University that came into existence in 2018 in Kolkata. The university offers many programs through five schools namely, School of Engineering, School of Commerce, School of Science, School of Social Sciences & Humanities and Specialized Courses. The Specialized courses are offered through industry academia collaboration mode. The University is equipped with Electronics Laboratory, Communication Systems Laboratory, Virtual Instrumentation and Signal Processing Laboratory, Dynamics Laboratory
Under the specialized courses, SNU offers a unique B.Tech program in Computer Science & Business Systems. Tata Consultancy Services, under its Industry-Academia Interface program, a first of its kind endeavor in Eastern India has adopted the B.Tech (Computer Science & Business Systems) in which students will be nurtured and groomed as per requirement of TCS with unique opportunity of internships at various locations in India. As part of this program, TCS will develop industry-ready curriculum. TCS will conduct a Train the Trainer Program (TTT Program) where specialists from TCS will approach to teach the courses.
To apply to this special program, candidates are required to qualify the minimum eligibility criteria (check 'Eligibility' tab) and write the JESNU Entrance Exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board (WBJEEB).
