O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a Private University established in 2009 in Sonepat, Haryana which is around 40kms from New Delhi. The University was founded by Mr. Naveen Jindal, former M.P. and currently the Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd.

The University consists of 10 schools: Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP), Jindal School of Liberal Arts & Humanities (JSLH), Jindal School of Journalism & Communication (JSJC), Jindal School of Art & Architecture (JSAA), Jindal School of Banking and Finance (JSBF), Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability (JSES), and Jindal School of Psychology and Counselling (JSPC).

The Jindal School of Art & Architecture (JSAA) offers the following programs:

B.A.(Hons) Built Environment Studies:
This program is specially designed for students who are interested in building and maintaining our cities, towns, infrastructure, and communities from a humanistic and social scientific background. Through courses in this program you learn about the fundamentals of design & making our cities, towns infrastructure, and communities in addition to learning law, policy, environmental issues, questions of economics, technology, sustainability, and ecology; all of which prepare you for becoming active participants in making the Built Environment of the future. After the 3-year course, students can take an additional 1-year fellowship option. This will enable their entry into Master’s Degree programs across the world in Architecture; Planning and Regional Studies; Urban and Landscape Design; Project and Construction Management.
Scope: After graduating from the Architectural studies pathway, students can enter the workforce directly as Green Building Consultants; Heritage and Conservation managers; Landscape designers; Project Managers and Real Estate Developers; Museum curators; Architectural Historians and Critics, etc.

B.Design Interior:
The Interior Design Pathway allows you to apply current practices of the industry through, though not limited to, the following: Spatial Design, Building Services, Mapping Interior/ Exterior Environments and Landscapes, Body and Perception, Materials and Styles, Color and Texture, Objects, Equipment and Affordances, Lighting, Social Design, and Collaborative Working, Gender and Space, Ecologies and Sustainable Practices, Field Notes and Ethnographies, Indigenous Craft Practices, Specifications and Codes, Ethics and Professional Practices.
Scope: Interior Architect, Independent Researcher, Design Educator, Scenographer, Furniture Designer, Lighting Designer, Product Designer, Marketing and Sales, Hospitality consultant, Sustainable interiors consultant, Landscape Designer, Building Pathologist, Systems Designer, Media Visualizer, Curatorial Consultant, Community Designer, User Experience Designer, Communication Designer, Interior Journalist, Illustrator, Photographer, Project Manager

B.Design Urban:
The pathway empowers students to look at urban areas as formations with multiple spatialities and temporalities that are continually interacting. The Urban pathway provides students with a variety of perspectives by drawing its faculty from a wide spectrum of academic and operational expertise, ranging from history, sociology, engineering, architecture, arts, geography, economics, and anthropology, among others.
Scope: Planning, architecture, real estate, and development, government, business, education, public health, law, and the non-profit sector, among others. Some of the areas you could be working in include, but are not limited to: City Planning, Environmental Assessment, Road Safety & Urban Transport, Air Quality, Energy studies, Geoinformatics, Sustainable Infrastructure, Urban Governance, Law and Policy Studies,
and Social Services

B.Design Community
The pathway empowers students to drive change in organizations and society at multiple levels, including towns, infrastructure, transportation networks and landscape. Their work is to create and develop designs, plans, projects that are both pleasing and functional and work to develop our communities. Graduates work with various structures, spaces, and systems from residential, transport, infrastructure and industrial.

educators, surveyors, journalists and media professionals, social workers, environmental impact analysts, construction managers, community developer

Admissions to the B.Design & B.A.(Hons) Built Environment Studies is via a 3-stage process
1. The application process with its personal statement and supplemental information
2. the Jindal Creative Aptitude Test (JCAT-2022)
3. An interview process which includes a portfolio review

Fee:
B.A. (Hons) Build Env

Tuition fee Rs. 3.5 Lakh per year
Hostel Fee- 2,76,000 per annum

B.Design (Interior/Urban/Community)
Tuition fee Rs. 3 Lakh per year
Hostel Fee- 2,76,000 per annum

The tuition fee & Hostel Fee are subject to an increase of up to ten percent (10%) every year.

Scholarships:
A Student must meet first two criteria to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Min. 80% marks in class 12th over all
- Parents annual income must be less than Rs 30 Lakhs (as per the ITR proof for last two years)
Max. Scholarship: A Student may be eligible to receive max of up to 25% scholarship on the tuition fee of the first of the program.
