CHRIST (Deemed to be University) was founded in 1969 by the religious community, the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). CHRIST College was the first educational institution to be awarded A+ by the NAAC, UGC. CHRIST College was declared Deemed to be University in July 2008. The multi-disciplinary University which focuses on teaching research and service offers Bachelors to Doctoral programmes in humanities, social sciences, science, commerce, management, engineering, education, and law to over 21000 students.
The School of Law, Christ University (SLCU), Bangalore, is approved by the Bar Council of India to conduct the 5-year B.B.A. L.L.B. (Honours) & B.A. L.L.B. (Honours) course. The school offers a five-year integrated law program, the successful completion of which will earn the student a B.B.A., L.L.B. (Honours) or B.A. L.L.B. degree (Honours) to be awarded by Christ University.
The program is offered in the following campuses:
- B.A. LLB & B.B.A.LL.B in Bengaluru Main Campus.
- B.A. LLB & B.B.A.LL.B in Lavasa, Pune Campus
- B.A. LLB & B.B.A.LL.B in Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR) Campus
Fee:
B.A. LL.B: Rs. 155,500/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 180,500/- per year for Other state candidates and Rs. 225,500/- per year for NRI candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)
B.B.A. LL.B: Rs. 190,000/- per year for Karnataka candidates; Rs. 210,000/- per year for Other state candidates and Rs. 270,000/- per year for NRI candidates.. (Does not include any other fees such as Admission fee of Rs.5000/- etc.)
CHRIST offers fully furnished residence halls for non-resident students. These residences are available separately for male and female students. Residences have single, twin or triple sharing options. However, the residences do not provide mess facilities.
Female residences annual fee ranges from Rs. 39,000 to Rs. 107,000 depending upon the type of sharing.
Male residences annual fee ranges from Rs. 39,000 to Rs. 75,000 depending upon the type of sharing.
For NRI category
1. NRI fee is applicable for first year for candidates who have studied foreign syllabus (has to be approved by UGC / AIU) in the qualifying examination of study in India. (The above condition is not applicable to NRI and candidates applied under NRI Category).
2. NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the programme for candidates who;
2.1. Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
2.2. Are NRI and candidates who have applied under NRI category.
3. To claim Indian / Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied last 7 years in India / Karnataka. (Not applicable for OCI, PIO and Foreign Nationals).
