JIPMER MBBS and Nursing 2018 Admission Schedule
2017-12-03Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) has notified the schedule of entrance exam for 2018 admissions.
JIPMER under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India. Spread over a sprawling 195 acre campus in an urban locale of Puducherry (formerly Pondicherry), JIPMER is 170 kms by road from Chennai. JIPMER has been declared as an *Institution of National Importance* by an Act of Parliament, JIPMER, Puducherry, Act, 2008.
Admission to M.B.B.S. Course for 150 seats in Puducherry campus & 50 seats in Karaikal campus is through an Entrance Examination conducted by JIPMER at various centers across India once a year. Karaikal is a part of the Union Territory of Puducherry, is also located on the eastern coast of India and separated by nearly 150kms from the main city of Puducherry.
B.Sc.(Nursing) course at JIPMER Nursing College is a 4 (Four) years Degree course and will have only full time students. The students are eligible for 1 (One) year optional stipendiary internship at JIPMER on successful completion of the course.
