Course offered : 5 Year Integrated BA-LLB (H)

Eligibility : 10+2 in any stream from a recognized University with at least 45% marks or its equivalent on Grading Scale of respective Boards/ Universities (42% in case of OBC, 40% for SC/ST).
Entrance Exam cut-off : All applicants belonging to General Category are required to attain 30% of the maximum marks of the respective test to qualify and to get admission in the course applied for. All applicants of OBC category are required to attain 27% of the maximum marks of the respective test to qualify and to get admission in the course applied for. However, there is no qualifying mark for SC/ST category students.

About the University : The history of the University of Allahabad dates back to the days of the ascendency of the Raj in India. It was established on September 23rd, 1887 by the Act XVIII of the then Central legislature and became the fourth University to be established in the country after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras. Its first entrance examination was held in March 1889. The University made significant contributions in various fields of knowledge and because of this has earned an encomium Oxford of East.
The Department of Law has produced innumerable Judges including Judges of the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of State High Courts. Governors of States, Advocate-Generals, Ministers, Diplomats and Administrative Officers. Luminaries from the Dept. of Law include - Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant (first cheief Minister of UP), Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma(former President of India), Dr. G. S. Pathak (former Vice President of India), Former Chief Justice of India R. S. Pathak, M. H. Beg, J. S. Verma, Ranga Nath Mishra, K. N. Singh and V. N. Khare etc.
The University of Allahabad hold Entrance Test LFAT for admission usually in the month of May for candidates seeking admission to its self-financing B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) : Five Year Integrated Course.

Intake : 120 seats. Six (06) seats shall be filled by the ward of the Teacher / employee of the University in accordance by the University Rules.

Admission Basis : Merit in LFAT entrance exam of 2 hours duration in the following format

(i) Language Comprehension: The questions set shall aim at testing the knowledge of the candidate in English and Hindi language particularly in English Grammar and Composition.
Hindi 10 Qns (20 marks)
English 40 Qns (80 marks)
(ii) General Awareness and Current Affairs: The questions set shall aim at testing the general knowledge and awareness of the students about the current national and international affairs.
GK : 50 Qns (100 marks)
(iii) Reasoning, Mental Ability and Legal Aptitude: The questions set shall aim at testing reasoning power, the mental ability and the legal aptitude of the candidate.
Reasoning and Mental Ability : 25 Qns (50 marks)
Legal Aptitude : 25 Qns (50 marks)
