AICTE Caution – Institutes/Courses running without Mandatory AICTE approval
2017-08-10AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), a Statutory body of the Govt of India, has release a public notice clarifying that prior approval of AICTE is mandatory for institutes to offer programmes in specified professional areas.
Checking the AICTE website, we found the following list of institutes in this context :
a) 279 Un-approved Institutes in Engineering & Technology (as per list dated 8 Feb 2016)
b) 341 Un-approved Institutes in Engineering & Technology and Other Areas (as per list updated on 23 Dec 2014)
c) 116 Institutes conducting programme/courses in Architecture without AICTE approval (as on 2 Aug 2013)
