On the successful completion of the first 3 years of the course, the student is awarded Bachelors degree, i.e. B.Sc. (I.T.) and on completion of five years duration, student is awarded Masters Degree, i.e. M.Sc. (I.T.). After completion of B.Sc.(I.T.), the students may continue studies of M.Sc.(I.T.) or may join any other post graduate course.
About the Univ : Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (a State University) was established under the South Gujarat University; Act 1965 passed by the Gujarat State Legislative Assembly and was incorporated as a University in 1967. The UGC recognition was obtained in 1968. It was reaccredited as ‘A’ Grade by NAAC in 2017.

Quota / Reservation / Allotment
a) 108 seats will be filled in by the applicants who have passed their HSC Examination of GSEB from South Gujarat Region under jurisdiction of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
b) 6 seats will be filled in by the applicants who have passed their HSC examination of a board other than GSEB from South Gujarat Region under jurisdiction of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
c) 6 seats will be filled in by the candidates who have passed their HSC/Equivalent examination from any board from any region other than South Gujarat Region under jurisdiction of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.
d) Seats for sports quota and NRI/NRI sponsored candidates shall be filled in as per the direction of the University.
e) Admission to candidate of vocational stream will be given on the science quota seats.
f) The number of seats for vocational stream candidate will be calculated on the basis of ratio of application received of science stream candidate and vocational stream students.
g) Kashmiri migrants will get admission as per university rules
Admission criteria
Merit list will be based on aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in HSC examinations / Equivalent Examination. Marks obtained in practical will be included in calculating aggregate marks. A candidate, who has passed HSC/ Equivalent Examination with more than one attempt is also eligible to apply, however, candidate will be placed in the merit list after deducting 2% marks per additional attempt.
