MBBS/BDS admission : Applications invited for seats reserved under MoD quota
2017-06-09Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, invites applications for admission to Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges from sons/daughters/widows of Armed Forces Personnel of the following categories of Defence Personnel, as per priority indicated :
Priority order
Priority 1 : Widows/wards of Defence Personnel killed in action
Priority 2 : Wards of disabled in action and boarded out from service
Priority 3 : Widows/wards of Defence Personnel who died while in service with death attributable to military service
Priority 4 : Wards of disabled in service and boarded out with disability attributable to military service
Priority 5 : Wards of Ex-Servicemen and serving personnel who are in receipt of Gallantry Awards
Priority 6 : Wards of Ex-Servicemen
Priority 7 : Wards of serving personnel
No. of seats (subject to allotment by Ministry of Health) : MBBS (approx 17 to 20),BDS (approx 1 to 3)
Eligibility
a) Selection of candidates for reserved seats as GoI nominee will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in NEET-2017 conducted by CBSE. Candidates who do not qualify NEET should not apply.
b) Wards of civilians are not eligible
c) All cases of disability aggravated by military service are not eligible for Priority 2 and 4.They can apply for Priority 6 and 7 as applicable.
Application : Candidates are required to apply online within 21 days of declaration of NEET result on KSIB website www.ksb.gov.in. Eligibility certificate to be completed and signed by RSB/ZSB and countersigned by OIC Records and for serving personnel in Priority 5 & 7 can also be signed by CO/OC Unit to be uploaded alongwith supporting documents and photograph of candidates.
