NERIST BTech Entrance Exam (NEE 2018) on 21 April
2018-01-18About the institute : North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) was established in 1983. It is autonomous and fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India since April 1, 1994. It got the status of a DEEMED UNIVERSITY on 31st May 2005. It is governed by the Board of Management (BoM) comprising representatives of the MHRD, Govt. of India, the eight beneficiary states of the North East India, AICTE and eminent educationists. It is residential, and is spread over 513 acres of land.
About the exam : The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is conducted at three Levels viz., NEE I, NEE II and NEE III for admissions to Base Module, Diploma Module and Degree Module of Engineering & Technology branches of Technology stream; and to Degree Module of Forestry stream through NEE II (PCB ). Students entering via NEE II undergo 2 year Diploma followed by 2 Year Degree module thereby being awarded B.Tech Degree.
