2023-03-10The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2023 exam will be conducted on May 7th, 2023, and the last date for application is April 6th, 2023.
NEET-UG is a single-stage, pen-and-paper-based objective test for admission into undergraduate medical and dental courses in India.
The eligibility criteria for NEET-UG-2023 require the candidate to be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and be at least 17 years of age as of 
December 31, 2023. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects. General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination, while SC/ST/OBC candidates must secure 40%.
The NEET-UG 2023 test pattern comprises two sections for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Section A consists of 35 questions, and Section B has 15 questions, out of which the candidate can choose to attempt any 10 questions. Each correct response will earn four marks, while each incorrect response will result in a deduction of one mark. Unanswered questions carry no marks.
The admission criteria for NEET-UG 2023 include merit ranking and counseling by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Candidates must secure a minimum qualifying percentile, which varies based on their category, to be considered for admission.
