AMU Continues With Own Entrance For 2023 For Select Courses
2023-02-19For UG admissions in 2023, Aligarh Muslim University shall continue with its old practice of conducting its own independent entrance tests for select courses. For some courses, it is adopting CUET-UG. This is in keeping with its practice of last year.
The application process for 2023 has been started.

(a) B.Tech

Entrance exam on 14 May 2023
Please note that this AMU entrance has date clash with ISI, HPCET and NCHM-JEE.
(b) BA (Hons/Research) - Economics, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology

Arabic, Communicative English, English, Linguistics, Philosophy, Quranic Studies, Urdu

Courses in which admission is through CUET-UG : Admission in following courses shall be based on merit obtained in CUET-UG being conducted by NTA.
1. BSc (Hons) Community Science (8 Semester) – only for females (male students not eligible)
2. BA (Hons / research) – Hindi, Persian, Sanskrit (8 Semester)
3. BA (Hons / Research) Women’s Studies (8 Semester)
4. BVoc (Production Technology) (6 Semester)
5. BVoc (Polymer & Coating Technology) (6 Semester)
6. BVoc (Fashion Design & Garment Technology) (6 Semester)
Important note about CUET-UG related application for AMU : Please note that AMU prospectus clearly states that for CUET-UG based courses one has to apply in CUET-UG (on NTA portal) and also do the following:
“Fill Online Application Form of Aligarh Muslim University on the website: www.amucontrollerexams.com for the concerned Course of Study specifying CUET Application number in AMU Application Form.”
The prospectus (exclusive) for CUET-UG based courses also specifies as below:
“In addition to the CUET website, the candidates have to also register on the AMU website www.amucontrollerexams.com for Application Form, Counseling and Admission.”
