About St. Xavier's College
St. Xavier's College is a private, Catholic, autonomous higher education college under Calcutta University run by the Calcutta Province of the Society of Jesus in Kolkata, India. The college has secured the 4th rank in India Ranking 2021 for colleges, conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
>> Admission to all UG programs except B.Sc. Masscom (H) & B.M.S.(H) shall be based on aggregate % in specific subjects in Grade 12.
>> Admission to B.Sc. Masscom (H) & B.M.S.(H) shall be based on Grade 12 marks & Admission Test. (Admission Test shall be conducted in the college campus in Kolkata). Date of the Admission Test shall be announced later.
>> Aggregate is calculated with 4 subjects at +2 level including the compulsory subjects as indicated in the eligibility criteria for application and the subjects having the maximum marks from the rest of the subjects
>> The student must have obtained 45% marks in each of the 4 subjects included in the Aggregate calculation.
>> Marks in all subjects indicated in the +2-level mark sheet must be entered in the application form.
>> Foreign Nationals need to produce their English Proficiency certificate (TOEFL, IELTS) if the medium of instruction in the qualifying examination is not English. Students without TOEFL and IELTS are not eligible to apply.
>> No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than five years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
How to Apply:
- One can apply only when they need a FINAL +2-mark sheet to fill up the online application form.
- CBSE and other board results are not yet out. Hence do not attempt filling up the online form before the board/council final results are published and you obtain your respective mark sheet.
- West Bengal board exams have been announced. So, those students can fill out the form.
- Students may apply for more than one stream/subject.
- Each application is to be made on separate online application forms.
- The application fee is to be paid separately for each application form.
- There are separate eligibility criteria for each subject, and the applications without the eligible marks will be summarily rejected.
- After filling up the online form, verify all details and submit the form online.
