IISER 2022 Application & Exam Dates Rescheduled

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) have pushed the dates of admission and exam dates for 2022 intake.  Lot many key admission dates & exam schedules have been postponed, mainly due to the change in the schedule of CBSE board exams.

About IISER:
There are 7 IISERs across India that have been set up by the Ministry of Education to promote high-quality research and scientific education.  The IISERs are located at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.

Programs offered at IISERs:
(1) 5-Year BS-MS Integrated Dual Degree Program and 
(2) 4-Year BS in Economics and Engineering Sciences  (only in Bhopal campus)

The total intake across the campuses is slightly more than 1600 seats.  

Mode of selection:
(1) KVPY channel: Candidates having a valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2022-23 academic session - exempt from taking IISER Aptitude Test
(2) JEE Advanced channel: Candidates securing a rank within 15000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2022 are eligible to apply - exempt from taking IISER Aptitude Test
(3) SCB channel: Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream in 2021 or 2022 with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their  IISER-2022respective boards i.e. State and Central Boards - Need to take IISER Aptitude Test 

Revised Schedule:
- Application portal will open by April 25, 2022  April 29, 2022
- Application will close on May 20, 2022 May 29, 2022
- IISER Admission Test 2022 will be conducted on June 12 2022 July 03, 2022

Note: The above schedule is only for admission via SCB channel (i.e., via IISER Aptitude Test IAT).  The application dates to apply via JEE-Adv & KYPV channels will be from September 11 to September 15th 2022.

Date Clash:
The new date of IISER Aptitude Test (July 03, 2022) clashes with the dates of KEAM 2022 (Kerala Engg Entrance Exam).  The date also overlaps with CUET exams that will be held between 03rd and 10th July 2022.  Candidates are therefore advised to make their decisions of the exams accordingly keeping these aspects in mind.
