5 More FAKE Universities, Total 24 Notified By UGC
2021-10-30Vide its latest NOTICE dated 7 Oct 2021, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the latest list of Fake Universities wherein 5 more have been added to its earlier list released in Sep 2021. The total count of such FAKE universities as notified by UGC has therefor increased from 19 to 24 now. These universities are NOT empowered to confer any degree.
As a Statutory body of the Government of India, UGC has the unique distinction of being the only grant-giving agency in the country which has been vested with two responsibilities: that of providing funds and that of coordination, determination and maintenance of standards in institutions of higher education.
