IHMCT Chennai Offers Direct Admission To SC, ST Students
2021-10-23Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Chennai invites applications from SC / ST students for filling up the vacant seats in its 3 Year BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration) course under the direct recruitment quota of the institute.
About the institute: The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCTAN), Chennai was established in 1963 jointly sponsored by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Govt. of India at national Level as one of the Pioneer Institutes in India for imparting quality training in Three Year Degree B.Sc in H&HA, Two Year Post Graduation M.Sc in HA and also 1.5 Years Diploma and Craft Courses. The Institute has recorded rapid growth, expansion and popularity in the past 50 years with senior management level employment for the students.
Admission criteria: Direct admission, merit list shall be prepared based on the marks obtained in in Class 12 (or equivalent) examination.
Eligibility criteria: Applications are open only for SC / ST candidates who meet the following credentials:
a) Passed Class 12 examination with minimum 40% marks in aggregate, in 10+2 system from a recognised board in any stream.
b) Should have compulsorily passed in English in Class 12.
c) Age not more than 28 years as on 1 July 2021.
