Actuaries ACET-Dec Applications in Progress2021-07-24
Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India and is the stepping stone for becoming an actuary.
An actuary is a business professional who analyzes the financial consequences of risk. Actuaries use mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to study uncertain future events, especially those of concern to insurance and pension programs.
To become an actuary, the student must clear the Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India. ACET is conducted two to three times a year.
This time due to COVID-19 situation across the country, the ACET will be home-proctored, i.e., the test will be administered remotely. The candidate can take the test from the comfort of his/her home. However, he/she would need to adhere to the mandatory technical specification of the computer system for the home-based test.
