Selection process : The selection process tests candidates on the parameters like Communication skills, Temperamental suitability for a sea career, Leadership qualities, Physical fitness and Aptitude for scientific concepts by considering a candidate’s 10+2 PCM marks, Performance in an interview, Satisfactory medical tests and Original document verification.
Candidates shortlisting
Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their PCM marks and Medical fitness as per the DGS norms and they are called to MANET, Pune to confirm their admission in the month of Jun-July 2021 (tentatively).

Online document verification and admission confirmation will be done through mail (depends on the COVID-19 situation).
Personal interview
Applicants are interviewed (through online/offline mode depends on COVID-19 situation) by a panel of educators and maritime professionals to assess the applicant’s communication skills, leadership potential, clarity of thought, maturity and reasoning abilities. The panel also looks for any extracurricular achievements of the candidate.
