IISER Applications to begin soon


The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), which are seven in number across the country have announced that the applications for admissions to their programs will open in the month of June 2021.

The seven IISERs are located at Berhampur (Odisha), Bhopal (MP), Kolkata (WB), Mohali (Punjab), Pune (Maharashtra), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), and Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh).  The IISERs offer wonderful opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students seeking fulfilling science-based careers. 

The programs offered at IISERs include 5-Year BS-MS Integrated Dual Degree Program and 4-Year BS in Economics and Engineering Sciences.

The Admissions to IISER are via 3 pathways:IISER-2021
(1) Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel
(2) Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced) of the Indian Institutes of Technology
(3) State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) - via IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)

IISER Aptitude Test: Due to the current pandemic situation, the date of the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) has not been finalized yet. The date will be announced well in advance. The test is tentatively scheduled to be held in mid-August or later.

Applications schedule: The application portal for those appearing through the KVPY stream and the SCB stream (through the IAT) will open in the first week of June. The application portal for those appearing through the IIT-JEE channel will open after the declaration of the IIT-JEE results.
