IIT-M Postpones HSEE-2021 for Integ MA Admissions

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) has postponed its entrance exam (HSEE-2021) (earlier scheduled to be conducted on 13 Jun 2021) for admissions to its unique 5-Year Integrated M.A. for students after Class 12. The new date of entrance exam will be notified later, atleast 15 days prior to the date of exam. The entrance exam earlier scheduled to be conducted on 13 Jun 2021.

IIT Madras HEE-2021 PostponedThis unique program is offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at IIT-M. The department is essentially multi-disciplinary in nature and has faculty from diverse streams, such as Development Studies, Economics, English, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, Health Studies, History, International Relations, Philosophy, Politics, and Sociology. Students from any stream may apply for this program.

The Integrated M.A. is offered in two streams for students after Class XII :

a) Development Studies and

b) English Studies

The stream is allocated at the end of 3 semesters based on the performance of students.

The admission to the program is via an entrance exam - the Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Exam 2021 (HSEE-2021).

HSEE 2021 Pattern : Part-I of HSEE-2021 consists of questions that will test the candidate's English comprehension, Analytical Ability, and General Awareness. These questions will need to be answered in an online mode from designated test centers.  There is also a Part-II that will require the candidate to write a 300-word essay on a given topic. This can be typed on the computer or can be written using pen and paper mode and submitted.
