AICTE mandates full approval of all courses
2021-01-27All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, has released a Public Notice on 21 Jan 2021 informing the public at large that all the Technical Institutes and Institutions Deemed to be Universities engaged in providing programmes in following need to have Mandatory Prior Approval of AICTE.
a) Engineering & Technology 
b) Applied Arts & Craft and Design
c) Hotel Management and Catering Technology
d) MCA
e) Management at Diploma / Post Diploma / Certificate / UG Degree / PG Diploma / PD Degree / Fellowship
f) Collaboration and Twinning Program
The NOTICE further clarifies as below:
a) All Technical Universities / Universities need to take either full approval of all Technical Program / Course or no approval for any of the Program / Courses.
b) Partial approval of some of the Programs will NOT be granted from the session 2021-22 to avoid confusion among stakeholders.
c) Institutions are also required to adhere to the Duration and Entry Level Qualification as approved by AICTE.
