Army BSc Nursing : Entrance date announced

Under Joint Military Nursing Service, the Entrance Exam conducted every year by Directorate General of Medical Services (Army) for admission in BSc Nursing in Colleges of Nursing (CON) had to be postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic. The new date for the same has now been decided as 11 Sep 2020.

Key dates

Date of availability of Admit Cards : Last week of Aug 2020

Date of Entrance Exam : 11 Sep 2020

Note : Only female candidates are eligible

Permanent/short service commission in the Military Nursing Service  : On successful completion of Nursing Training (4years), the candidates will be granted permanent/short service commission in the Military Nursing Service, under the terms and conditions laid down for grant of such commission. Selected candidates shall execute an agreement / Bond to serve in the Military Nursing Service (MNS). They shall have to refund the bond money as per the bond executed in the event of withdrawal from the course, termination of training or refusal to accept commission in the MNS, if offered. During training they will be provided with free ration, accommodation, uniform allowance and monthly stipend as per existing terms and conditions as amended from time to time.

Selection criteria : Under Joint Military Nursing Service, an Entrance Exam is conducted by Directorate General of Medical Services (Army) for admission in Colleges of Nursing. Based on the merit cum choice, (subject to vacancy in each College) the candidates will be awarded admission in Colleges of Nursing.

Candidates, as per merit on the basis of Entrance Exam (written test), will be called for interview. Final selection will be based on combined merit of written test & interview, subject to medical fitness. Only female candidates are eligible.
