Panjab University Chandigarh, one of the oldest Universities in India, decided to Cancel its Common Entrance Test for 2020 admissions in BPharm and BSc (H) courses. Fresh registrations for admission as per the new criteria shall close on 20 Aug 2020.
Courses offered
a) B.Pharm
b) BSc (Hons) in 4 bio-science related streams namely Biotechnology / Bio Physics / Bio Chemistry / Microbiology / Botany / Zoology
c) BSc (Hons) in Anthropology / Chemistry / Geology / Physics / Physics (Specialization in Electronics) / Mathematics
Selection criteria : As a standard practice, the merit list for admission is prepared by giving 25% weighatge to marks in qualifying exam and 75% weightage to PU-CET-BioT. However, for 2020, the University has decided not to conduct the PU-CET-BioT. All the candidates will be given equal marks in the PU-CET-BioT component so as to nullify the contribution of entrance test marks in the Merit-list.

Special Note : The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in the Entrance Test, as this institution has been derecognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, included in the booklet of recognised exams, have also been deleted from the Booklet.
