GB Pant Univ Cancels GBPUAT 2020, Apply by 15 Aug

In view of the prevailing COVID situation and the large number of applicants for admission to UG programmes, the Academic Council of G.B. Pant University has decided to admit students for all UG programmes during 2020-21 session on the basis of  their merit in Intermediate or equivalent examination.

The G.B. Pant University is a symbol of successful partnership between India and the United States. The establishment of this university brought about a revolution in agricultural education, research and extension. It paved the way for setting up of 31 other agricultural universities in the country.

Courses offered

a) BTech (Food Technology)

b) Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry

c) BSc Agriculture

d) BSc Community Science

e) Bachelor of Fisheries Science

New admission criteria

Percentage of marks secured in the following subjects at intermediate or equivalent level will be considered for preparing the merit list of the candidates :

1. Group 01 (Eligible for admission to all UG programmes except BTech Food Tech) : Phy, Chem, Bio

2. Group 02 (Eligible for admission to BSc Agri BSc Comm. Sc. & BTech Food Tech) : Phy, Chem, Maths

3. Group 03 (Eligible for admission to BSc Agri & BFSc) : Three best scored agriculture subjects

Next steps and key dates

a) New applications : The candidates who have not applied yet and are interested to apply with the new mode of the process will be allowed to fill up their application forms online through the portal by registering as usual from 01.08.2020 to 15.08.2020.

b) Already registered applicants : The candidates who have already applied and are interested in going with the new mode of the process will upload the above said marks as per their group and scanned copy of mark Intermediate or equivalent examination by logging in with their origin 01.08.2020 to 15.08.2020. After 15.08.2020, no candidate will be allowed to submit marks or upload mark sheet and their candidature will not be considered for admission to any UG programme.

c) Withdrawal by already registered applicants : The candidates who are not interested to continue may withdraw their candidature online through the portal by logging in with their user ID and passwords from 01.08.2020 to 15.08.2020. In such cases, entire application fee will be refunded after verifying their credentials after the last date of withdrawal (15.08.2020). Such candidates will not be permitted to apply again for admission to any UG programme during 2020. After 15.08.2020 no candidate will be allowed to withdraw his/her application.
