SRMJEEE Cancelled, Admission criteria changed

In the light of prevailing COVID 19 situation, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) has cancelled the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) for B.Tech admissions 2020, which was scheduled to be conducted from 30 July to 4 Aug 2020.

Revised admission criteria

The B.Tech admissions for 2020 will now be based on +2 / Pre-University / Equivalent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology.

Those who have appeared in JEE Mains and SAT are encouraged to apply.

Institutes covered

The new admission process is applicable for all campuses of SRMIST, namely Kattankulathur (Main Campus), Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR New Delhi; SRM University, AP - Andhra Pradesh; SRM University Haryana, Sonepat; and SRM University Sikkim.

What next

Students now need to complete their forms with marks obtained in +2 / Board exam as soon as the results are declared. Forms for filling up the +2 / Pre-University / Equivalent marks and JEE Mains, SAT score are available on the university website.

Key dates

The dates for closure of applications / updation, result declaration / counselling / seat allocation will be announced in due course.

Impact on scholarships

While SRMIST will continue with its scholarships for deserving candidates including the ones who score high in JEE Mains and SAT examinations, the SRMJEEE rank based scholarships will not be granted.

Commencement of classes

The classes for the new batch are scheduled to start in Sep 2020 (on-campus or online or a combination of the two), in compliance with the Government directives and taking into consideration the safety of students.
